Steel Sokol manufactures and supplies pipeline valves and process equipment. The previous website served as a business card but was no longer meeting its intended objectives. It was time to revamp it.
First, we tweaked the visual identity to correct some flaws:
We then began designing the website, starting by drafting a detailed requirements specification and determining along the way which sections were needed right away and which would be added later but should be designed in advance.
At the same time, we addressed issues related to content, graphics, and downloadable documents, gathering data from a variety of sources and refining it based on our industry experience.

As for the technology, we chose Tilda as a simple website builder that is easy to manage going forward. This solution was used on our previous website, so the tool is familiar and intuitive; however, it wasn’t being used optimally, so we also advised a staff member on how to reduce costs.

At the same time, we developed a tool for uploading files to Yandex Disk that allows users to download them directly, without any intermediate interfaces.
The result: steelsokol.ru. A website that doesn’t aim to win any design awards, but contains well-organized, structured information about the company and its activities. This is the essence of our approach—a serious website should serve a purpose, rather than be cluttered with animations and other "design for design’s sake."
